MegaFood announces that its entire product line is now certified Glyphosate Residue Free (GRF). Certification was granted by the Detox project, an independent research organization. MegaFood cooperated with the project and had all products tested by this independent party.

Glyphosate

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup®, is the number one globally used herbicide. It is used in both GMO and conventionally grown agriculture and is unfortunately also often used in private gardens, public parks and schools.

The use of glyphosate has increased over the past 10 years and has increased almost fifteen fold. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies glyphosate as “probably carcinogenic in humans”.

In organic farming, the use of glyphosate and other fertilizers, antibiotics, and growth hormones is prohibited.
